It is also very hard, with a score of 9.25 on the Mohs scale of hardness, making it a durable option for jewelry. Moissanite is often used as a diamond alternative in engagement rings and other jewelry pieces because it has similar optical properties to diamonds but is less expensive.

Materials and Care: These are made of sterling silver and coated with precious metal Rhodium or 18ct real gold. They are hypoallergenic. They are tarnish resistant but please keep in a sealed plastic bag when not wearing.
