Some of my favourite designs began as customer suggestions 💙

    Hi lovely human,

I wanted to write this email to say thank you, and to ask you something.

    From your ideas to silver

So many of my favourite designs over the years have come directly from your suggestions.

Some of them were beautifully specific and full of character, and they’ve led me down creative paths I might never have explored otherwise.

The blue-footed booby birds are still a favourite of mine, and right now I’m working on a pair of kookaburra earrings suggested by a customer called Julianne, which already feel full of story and charm.

“My kids love your earrings, especially the birds and sea-themed ones. If you ever make anything with kookaburras, please let me know.”

Why I love designing this way

That’s something I really value about Silver Rain Silver. It’s never been about chasing trends, but about creating storytelling jewellery. Pieces inspired by animals, nature, curiosity, and small details that mean something to the person wearing them. I love that there’s room for many different tastes, stories, and ideas.

With silver prices having more than doubled over the last 12 months, choosing to make more niche designs does come with its challenges. But I feel incredibly fortunate to have a community that resonates with this way of creating, and that supports thoughtful, character-led pieces.

    I'd love your ideas

So I wanted to ask you.
If there’s an animal, idea, or little story you’d love to see turned into a piece of jewellery, I’d truly love to hear it.

Thank you for being here, for sharing your ideas, and for supporting this small brand.

    With gratitude,
    Emma

My wish is really simple…its just plain silver silhouettes of a matching pair of birds (maybe swifts, maybe just generic) birds in flight…totally plain, no markings or other details. I saw a pair like this when I was 28 and had my ears pierced for the first time especially so I could get them. 13 years later I lost them when my house was burgled and have never seen any others like them. Thank you.

    Hi
My Mum loves her blue booby earrings.
I love the phrase…every cloud has a silver lining, and would love to see this incorporated in jewellery
    Thanks

I love your designs and have bought them as presents too. My idea though is that where birds are dimorphic you should make mismatched earrings with a male and a female (so the mallard/mandarin ducks or the bullfinches spring to mind). You could even go the whole hog and make some boy/girl ones and some same sex ones…?!

I’d truly love a kitsune/Japanese fox mask pair of stud earrings, especially if they have a screw or flat back. I would snatch them up the SECOND they dropped in the shop!
